Mattress removal looks like the easiest job in the world right up to the moment you try to get a queen mattress down a staircase by yourself. Double Eagle Junk Removal takes mattresses, box springs, bed frames and headboards out of your house and onto our trailer, from a single guest bed to every bedroom in the place. We work out of Gilbert and cover the East Valley and the Phoenix metro, and we do the carrying.
Why Mattress Removal Is Awkward Even Though It Looks Easy
A mattress doesn't fold, doesn't stack and doesn't hold still. It sags in the middle the second you lift it, it catches on every doorframe and banister, and the bigger it's the worse it gets. A king is a wrestling match. A box spring is its own special trouble, because it's a rigid wooden frame in a fabric skin that won't bend at all, and it doesn't fit in an SUV even with the seats folded down.
A mattress strapped to a roof rack at highway speed is a hazard, and summer heat over 110 degrees makes the whole errand miserable. Your HOA may not want it on the curb for days, and your city's bulk pickup, if it runs on a set schedule, may be weeks away. We show up with a trailer, so the mattress goes out in one trip.
How Mattress Removal Works From Bedroom to Trailer
You call (480) 202-7195 or fill out the form and tell us what's going: how many mattresses, whether there are box springs and frames, which floor they're on. We give you the price up front, before we start, based on the space everything takes in the trailer. It isn't a flat fee per item. Stairs and long carries can change it, and you hear that before we begin.
On the day, we come in, take the bed apart if it needs it, and carry everything out to the trailer. Upstairs bedroom, casita, back room off the garage: we do the lifting wherever it sits. Then we sweep the spot where the bed stood, because the floor under a bed has usually seen better days. You don't need to drag anything to the curb or wrap anything. Same-day or next-day pickup is possible when the schedule allows, so call early in the day if you need it gone fast.

Box Spring Removal and Bed Frames, Headboards
Box spring removal is the part people forget to plan for, and then the new mattress is arriving on Thursday. A box spring usually comes out in one piece, long and stiff, and it has to be tipped on edge and angled just right to get through a doorway. Metal bed frames come apart with a wrench and a bit of patience, and we handle that. Wooden headboards and slatted frames are lighter but bulky, and a platform bed with a heavy base is more of a project than a nightstand.
Everything that's metal gets separated and recycled. Wood frames and headboards in decent condition can head toward donation or resale, and the broken ones go to disposal. If the frame is a storage bed with drawers built in, tell us when you call so we know what we're lifting.
Whole Bedroom Clear-Outs
Sometimes it isn't just the mattress. A kid left for college and the room is becoming an office. A guest room is getting emptied before the house is listed. Or someone moved on and the family is working through the house one room at a time. We clear the whole bedroom in one visit: mattress, box spring, frame, headboard, dresser, nightstands, and whatever is in the closet that nobody wants to look at.
For the furniture side, our furniture removal page covers dressers, desks and the rest. For a larger family job, an estate cleanout handles the whole property the same way, one room after another.
Mattress Removal on Moving Day
A move is when mattresses become urgent. The old one isn't worth the truck space, the new apartment comes furnished, or the landlord wants the unit empty by Friday. We take what you're leaving while you handle what you're keeping. If you're carrying a few pieces between homes, our local moving service moves furniture across town in our truck and trailer, and the old mattress rides out with us at the same visit.
Timing helps. Call as soon as you know the date, and we'll tell you what the schedule looks like. Around Tempe, student moves tend to bunch up at the end of a term, so booking ahead matters more there.
Where a Mattress Goes When It Leaves
Most used mattresses can't be donated. A mattress in clean, solid, nearly new condition may be, when the condition allows. A worn one with sags, stains or broken springs usually can't, and we'll tell you which kind you have. Steel springs and metal frames are pulled out and recycled, and the rest goes to licensed disposal facilities.
Mattress Disposal Service Around the East Valley
Our home base is Gilbert, so Gilbert, Mesa and Chandler are the easy ones. Tempe and Queen Creek are close to home base too, and we come out to Phoenix and the other cities on the service areas page, where booking ahead helps. Everything else we haul is covered under junk removal, and if the room also has an old treadmill or a dead appliance, we load it in the same trip.
