Yard Waste Removal in Gilbert, AZ

Yard waste removal in the Valley looks nothing like it does in a lawn town. Our piles are palm fronds with spiked stems, mesquite limbs full of thorns, palo verde trimmings, a dead citrus tree that has been lying along the block wall since spring, and a tarp of decorative rock somebody finally decided to part with. Double Eagle Junk Removal is based in Gilbert, and we haul it all away: you cut it and stack it, or leave it where it fell, and we load the trailer and sweep up behind it.

What Counts as Yard Waste in a Desert Yard

Green waste in Arizona is mostly woody, dry and sharp. After a trim, a palm leaves behind a heap of fronds that are too long for the can and too stiff to fold. Mesquite and palo verde drop limbs, pods and thorns that go through gloves and into tires. Oleander hedges get cut back to the fence, and those clippings are best handled with gloves. Add the bags of leaves from the citrus trees, a pile of grass from the little patch out front, and the branches that came down on the patio.

We also take the heavy stuff that comes out of a yard when somebody changes it: old landscape rock, loose gravel, broken pavers, and the stumps and trunks of trees that are already cut down. If you have a dead citrus tree on the ground in pieces, it counts.

The cutting itself is a job for a tree service or a landscaper. We're the ones who haul away what they leave behind, or what you cut yourself.

Why Brush and Rock Are Hard to DIY Here

You can fit a lot of palm fronds in a pickup bed, and every bit of it'll want to come back out on the freeway. The stems are rough on bare arms, the thorns are rough on everything else, and a truck bed is hard to sweep clean afterward. Then there's the drive to the disposal site, the wait, and a second load.

City bulk and green waste programs help, and many have set schedules and limits on what goes to the curb. Check what yours allows. A homeowners' association can have its own say about how long a pile sits out front, too. A trimmed hedge or a month of storm cleanup tends to be more than the curb program expects, and that's when a trailer does the job in one visit.

Rock is the other trap. A small pile of landscape rock weighs more than anyone guesses, and moving it's hard on the back and harder on a truck's suspension. The weight is real, so weight is part of how we price it.

How We Handle Yard Waste Removal From Call to Swept Driveway

Call or send the form and tell us what's out there: palm fronds, brush, rock, a downed tree, a pile along the side of the house. Tell us how we get to it, too. A gravel yard with a side gate is a different carry than a pile at the curb. The quote is given up front, before any work starts. Price is based on how much space the load takes up in the trailer, and weight (rock especially) and access change it. The estimate is free.

On the day, we bring the trailer as close as the property allows and do the lifting ourselves, from the backyard, the side yard or around the block wall. Brush gets loaded so it packs tight. When the yard is clear, we sweep up the driveway and the walkway, because a haul of fronds always leaves a trail.

Summer matters here. When it's over 110 degrees, morning appointments are cooler for everyone, and the dry brush is easier to handle before the heat sets in. We can sometimes get out the same day or the next, depending on the schedule, and a morning call improves those odds.

Where Palm Fronds, Brush and Rock End Up

Yard waste is bulky, and most of it isn't a donation candidate. Green waste and brush go to licensed disposal facilities. Old landscape rock, pavers and soil are heavy and go the same way. Metal that turns up in the pile, like old wire, a broken sprinkler part or a rusted fence post, gets pulled out and recycled instead of being buried with the rest.

A chair, a pot or a planter that still has some life in it can go to donation or resale when the condition allows. Most of what comes out of a yard isn't that.

Brush Removal After Monsoon Storm Debris

Monsoon season does a lot of the work for us. A single storm can bring down branches, shred a palm and spread debris across the whole yard and half the street. Some of that lands on roofs, patios and pool decks, where it needs to come off fast, and it piles up faster than any bulk pickup schedule runs.

If a storm just went through, tell us what came down and where. A limb across the carport or a heap against the block wall is very different from a downed tree in the middle of the lawn. We haul the debris away once it's on the ground.

Yard Waste Removal Around Gilbert, Queen Creek and Chandler

Gilbert is home base, with its mix of older lots near the Heritage District and newer master-planned neighborhoods with HOA rules on how long a pile can sit. Close by, we haul brush from Queen Creek, where the lots tend to be larger and there's a lot more yard to clear, and Chandler, where older neighborhoods have mature trees and plenty of palm frond waste. Our Gilbert page has more on home base, and the full list is on the service areas page.

If the yard cleanup turns into a bigger tear-out, bulk trash pickup covers the odd and bulky leftovers, and construction debris removal handles fence panels, decks and concrete. The junk removal page lists everything we haul.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Trimmings, cut limbs and palm fronds are what we load, whether a tree service cut them or you did.

Yes. A dead citrus or any tree that's already cut into pieces is yard waste, and we load it and haul it. We need it down and on the ground first.

Yes. Rock is heavy, so weight is part of the quote, along with how much room the load takes up in the trailer and how far we have to carry it.

No. Loose piles are fine. Bagging speeds up the carry, but it's optional.
