Double Eagle Junk Removal is based in Gilbert, so a Gilbert address is the shortest drive we make. Junk removal in Gilbert works like this: you show us what's going, we price it by how much room it takes in the trailer, and then we carry it out from wherever it sits and sweep the spot. A morning call gives you the best shot at same-day or next-day pickup when the schedule allows.
How Gilbert's Bulk Trash Week Works
The town picks up bulk trash every five weeks, skipping the weeks of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Your pile can go out starting the Saturday before your week, and it has to be out by 5 a.m. that Monday. It's one pile per home, no bigger than 10 feet long, 5 feet wide and 5 feet tall, set in the street against the curb with 5 feet of clear space around it. A pile bigger than that becomes a separate oversize pickup, and the town charges for it.
For a lot of Gilbert households that's a fine deal. If your week is coming up and the pile is a worn-out mattress, a broken patio chair and a few bundles of trimmings, set it out and let the town take it.
One detail worth knowing before you decide: the town says everything collected in the bulk program goes to a landfill. When we haul a load, we sort it first. Furniture in decent shape can go to donation or resale, and metal, cardboard and electronics get pulled out for recycling. Not everything can be donated or recycled, but every load gets sorted.
What Gilbert Bulk Pickup Leaves at the Curb
Gilbert's bulk crew won't take washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves or water heaters. Those go through a separate appliance pickup that handles up to two at a time, with a small trip fee during your bulk week and a much bigger one outside it. Flat-screen TVs and other electronics are off the list too. So is remodel debris like drywall, tile, carpet, cabinets and old bathtubs, plus rock, dirt, concrete and pallets.
We take all of it, on whatever day suits you. Appliance removal covers the dead fridge in the garage, and refrigerators and freezers go to facilities that recover the refrigerant properly. Old TVs and computers go through electronics disposal. The cabinets and flooring from a kitchen redo fall under construction debris removal, and so do the pavers and dirt from a backyard project. Heavy material like that can change the price, and you hear the number before we start. When the load is simply more than a 10 by 5 by 5 pile, or five weeks is too long to wait, a bulk trash pickup with us skips the curb altogether.
Hauling It Yourself From Gilbert
If you've got a pickup truck and a free morning, the town offers a good option. Gilbert residents can drop off one load, up to a ton, every 30 days for free at either of two transfer stations in Mesa. Bring an ID and a current Gilbert utility bill, and leave the appliances and TVs at home, because the free load doesn't include them.
That route works best for a load you can lift and tie down on your own. Where we come in is the stuff that's hard to get to a truck in the first place: a sleeper sofa coming down a stairwell, a treadmill in the back bedroom, a garage packed to the door. We do every bit of the loading.
Paint, Batteries and Old TVs: Gilbert's Household Hazardous Waste Facility
We don't haul paint, chemicals or other hazardous materials. Gilbert has its own place for those. The Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 2224 E. Queen Creek Road is open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for Gilbert residents only. It takes paint, batteries, flat-screen TVs and other e-waste, and the town says more than 90 percent of what comes in gets reused or recycled.
Residents of Queen Creek can use the same facility too, through a limited voucher arrangement between the two towns. If you're clearing out a garage, set the paint cans and batteries aside for that trip, and we'll take everything else.
Morrison Ranch, Val Vista Lakes and Gilbert's HOA Neighborhoods
A big share of Gilbert is master-planned. Morrison Ranch covers about 2,000 acres of old family farmland, with around 6,000 homes approved, lakes filled with reclaimed water, and four grain tanks still standing at the center. The family started selling parcels to builders in 1998, and neighborhoods like Higley Groves, Lakeview Trails and Elliot Groves filled in over the years after. Down in 85297, Power Ranch runs its own community association.
Planned neighborhoods come with HOA rules, and some of those rules cover what can sit in a driveway or at the curb, and for how long. We load from the garage, the side yard or the upstairs bedroom straight into the trailer, so nothing has to wait out front for a week.
Val Vista Lakes is in the middle of a town project of its own. Gilbert is replacing old water pipes and redoing streets there. The work west of Val Vista Drive is finished, and the east side is scheduled from spring 2026 through fall 2027. If your street is torn up when you book, mention it, and we'll figure out where the trailer can park before we arrive.
What Fills a Gilbert Garage
Close to three out of four Gilbert homes are lived in by the people who own them, and the average household is almost three people. That adds up to garages holding a lot of years: the crib that turned into a toddler bed, the bikes after that, boxes from the last move, a second fridge that quit. A garage cleanout starts with you pointing at what stays. We load the rest and sweep the floor you haven't seen in a while.
When the sectional gets replaced, furniture removal takes the old one out the door. And if you're moving within the Valley, local moving can carry the keepers to the new place while the trailer takes what isn't making the trip.
Booking Gilbert Junk Removal Around Your Week
Call, text or send the form, and tell us what's going and where it sits. Photos help. We confirm the price on site before anything moves, then carry from the backyard, the casita or the upstairs closet, load up, and sweep where the pile was. We're open 7 days a week, 7am to 6pm.
If you're just over the line in Chandler, the city there runs curbside bulk by request, so the rules change when you cross the street. Every city we cover is on our service areas page, and the full list of what we haul is on junk removal.

Frequently Asked Questions
The town collects bulk every five weeks by area and skips Thanksgiving and Christmas weeks. Gilbert's bulk trash page shows your week. If it's too far off, or the pile won't fit the town's size limit, we can come sooner when the schedule allows.
No, leave it where it is. We carry from the garage, the backyard, an upstairs room or a storage unit.
Often, since Gilbert is home base. Same-day or next-day pickup depends on the schedule and the size of the load, so a morning call gives you the best chance.
By how much space the load takes in the trailer, not by the item. Heavy material, long carries and stairs can move the number, and you hear it before we lift anything.
